Zen Tea

(禅茶)

Experience mindfulness, simplicity, and a deep appreciation for the present moment while enjoying Chinese tea. In this practice, the act of making and drinking tea becomes a form of meditation, an opportunity to cultivate awareness and tranquility. We use the most natural and eco-friendly tea we could find, from mountain villages and tea gardens 2500 meters high in Southwest China.

Zen Calligraphy

(禅书法)

Try moving with brushes and ink in a different way. Techniques are thrown out of the window. It’s in the letting go of techniques that we start to find the art of mindfulness in sitting with a piece of empty paper, each stroke we put down and ourselves.  Creating a potent flow within the writing, is to see potent possibilites in emptiness.

Zentangle Drawing

(禅绕画)

Zentangle drawing speaks plenty of the compassion embodied in Zen. It sees no threshold, no precondition to drawing. It lifts all judgements and opens its door to welcome anyone who are moved to express through drawing.  It is simple, and full of positive energy and joy from being in community.

Mindful Improv

(禅意戏剧)

Improvisation Theatre is a revolutionary format of theatre that focus on anything but  performance to the crowd. It believes in the powerful value of improv not to put up a stage scene, but to create deeper reflection and connection in self and with others. With group improv exercises, it helps people let go, relax, build trust, rapport, support and inspires creativity and imagination when our body and mind are free from doubts and limitations.  Its motto is YES, AND, speaking to the non-judgmental, accepting and trusting energy in improv. It echoes the compassionate message of Zen, and the state of emptiness yet full of possibilities in Zen philosophy.
