Lining is the Executive Director and guiding teacher at AMFF. She became a public interest advocate after receiving JD and LLM from Peking University and Harvard Law School. Lining has devoted over a decade to racial and gender equity, migrant rights, educational equity and rural development, working in United Nations Committee for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, the American Civil Liberties Union and public interest lawyer coalition in China. She also taught in Peking University School of Transnational Lawand founded its Experiential Learning Center containing several law clinics. In the past ten years, she has collaborated with the Ministry of Education, the National Supreme Procuratorate’s Juvenile Division, and the National Youth Legal Education Platform on civic education projects. Upon publishing two legal education books, she partnered with the Reader Project to reach over 700 rural schools and universities, implementing interdisciplinary courses, training rural teachers, and empowering rural principals. She joined the AMFF after a Master’s in Educational Innovation from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2024.

 

Lining has been a yoga, Zentangle and Improv theatre instructor for 8 years. As a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), she is driven by supporting her team and clients with compassionate coaching.
